The annual rating of the most prominent people and events in the Russian musical life has been published recently by the national newspaper Musikalnoe Obozrenie (Musical Review).

Many representatives of the Russian musical elite have been distinguished with this award since 1995, a.o. М.Rostropovich, G.Vishnevskaya, I.Arkhipova, Y.Temirkanov, Y.Bashmet and many other renowned musicians, community and regional leaders who have made a significant contribution to the development of musical culture.
