MUSICAL OLYMPUS FESTIVAL PERFORMS IN BERLIN UNDER THE MOTTO "MUSIC - FOR PEACE"

On November, 14 the concert and presentation of the Musical Olympus Festival was a great success at the Chamber Music Hall of the Berliner Philharmoniker. That night the following festival participants performed on one of the best concert stages in Germany: Igor Yeliseev (double bass, Russia), Rémi Geniet, (piano, France), tenor Mario Chang (Guatemala), as well as Solenne Païdassi (violin, France). The latter stepped in at the last moment to substitute for Marc Bouchkov who had fallen ill.

The concert programme featured the works by F. Kreisler, S. Rachmaninoff, М. Bruch, G. Bottesini, P. Tchaikovsky, and opera arias performed by brilliant Mario Chang who in September won the Operalia, one of the most prestigious vocal contests in the world.

“It happened so that this concert of the Musical Olympus festival at the Berliner Philharmoniker took place on the backdrop of a complex international environment. Yet I believe that it spreads kindness and peace in the current atmosphere of political tension and confrontation,” said Irina Nikitina, President of the Musical Olympus Foundation.
