Elli Choi was born in San Diego and began her violin studies at the age of three. A soloist by age five, she performed with the Korean Symphony Orchestra in Seoul. At the age of seven Ms. Choi entered the Pre-College Division of The Juilliard School, where she studies with Ida Kavafian. Since 2011 Elli Choi studies with Prof. Zakhar Bron at his masterclasses in Salzburg, Interlaken and Luebeck.

Elli Choi has already performed extensively throughout the US, Europe and the Middle East, in major international venues including the Avery Fisher Hall, New York, the Mann Music Center, Kimmel Center’s Verizon Hall, the Stradivari Society in Chicago, the Dvorák Hall in the Rudolfinum, Prague, Tonhalle in Zurich, Berlin Philharmonie and Grosser Saal in Salzburg. In April 2016, she performed at the Berlin Philharmonie with the Sinfonie Orchester Berlin

In 2010, Elli Choi won Grand Prize at the Philadelphia International Music Festival. She was selected as a Prizewinner 2013 of the International Summer Academie at Mozarteum at the Salzburg Music Festival and as a student artist in Starling-DeLay Symposium at the Juilliard School. The same year, in April 2013, she was invited to Interlaken-Classics in Switzerland.

In 2015, Elli Choi won 1st Prize at the Wieniawski - Lipinski International Competition in Lublin, Poland and Grand Prix at the 11th Young Virtuoso Competition in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Ms. Choi is the youngest recipient of an instrument from the Stradivari Society in Chicago; she is playing a three-quarter-sized violin made by Joseph Rocca of Turin in 1852.
