The program of the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival held in the Northern Capital of Russia from May 22 to June 3, 2012, for the first time includes a social concert program. The Festival participants, young Russian musicians, will perform at the №1 Kresty Police Investigation Centre, the №2 House of Veterans and the St. Petersburg Children’s Hospice.
A handmade silver Easter egg by a famous jeweler Vladimir Mikhailov will be the audience award at the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival to be held in St. Petersburg from May 22 to June 3, 2012.
On June, 14 at the Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall in St. Petersburg and on June, 15 at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow the Musical Olympus Foundation for the first time in Russia arranges unique duo concerts performed by recognized jazz music geniuses of the recent decades - Bobby McFerrin and Chick Corea. These concerts promise to become one of the year’s most exciting music events.
March, 4, 2012 a sixth presentation concert of Musical Olympus Festival took place in Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York.
From the 22nd to the 31st of May St. Petersburg will host ‘the parade of the winners” – the world-famous international Musical Olympus Festival. This year the program of the festival includes seven concerts of young outstanding musicians in the best halls of the city, as well as a special social concert program.
