On May 27 the St. Petersburg State Capella hosted the fourth concert of the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival main program. That night accompanied by the State Capella Symphony Orchestra under the baton of a Greek conductor Dimitris Botinis were brilliant performers Manuel Blanco Gomez-Limon (trumpet, Spain) Artem Chirkov (double-bass, Russia), Andrey Gugnin (piano, Russia). The musicians performed the works by Ravel, Hummel, Bottesini and Rachmaninov.

On May 25 the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella hosted the third concert of the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival. That night the Capella saw performances of Kah Chun Wong (conductor, Singapore), Tomasz Daroch (cello, Poland), Daniel Kharitonov (piano, Russia), Alexandra Korobkina (violin, Russia) Anastasia Subrakova (violin, Russia), Marina Grauman (violin, Russia), David Chakvetadze (violin, Russia). The artists were accompanied by the State Capella Symphony Orchestra and performed the works by Lutoslawski, Rachmaninov, Liszt, Chopin, and Maurer.

On May 24 within the frameworks of the Musical Olympus festival for the first time a concert of classical music took place at the Kresty Prison. Participants of the concert were young Russian musicians, laureates of international competitions in Europe, Asia and the Americas: Anastasia Subrakova (violin), Anastasia Golovina (violin), Sophia Viland (flute), ESSe-Quintet (Kirill Evseev, balalaika prima; Dmitry Gogolev, domra alto, domra small; Daria Chernykh, balalaika kontrabass; Ksenia Kvochko, accordion; Mikhail Krylov, accordion). The artists performed the works by Paganini, Izaya, Zraya, Gershwin, as well as their own compositions. The concert was held by the president of the Musical Olympus Foundation Irina Nikitina. The artists’ performance at the Kresty Prison was the first in a series of the Festival’s social concerts. These concerts are also scheduled at the № 2 House of Veterans (May 28) and the Children's Hospice (May 30).

On May 23 the Hermitage Theatre hosted the second concert of the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival. That night the theater saw performances of young musicians from around the world: Dimitris Botinis (conductor, Greece), Cecilio Perera (guitar, Mexico), Alexey Zhilin (cello, Russia), Soyoung Yoon (violin, Republic of Korea). The artists were accompanied by the State Hermitage Orchestra and performed the works by Brouwer, Tchaikovsky and Sibelius.

On May 22 the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall hosted the first concert of the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival. Accompanied by the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra were such participants of the Festival as Ayyub Guliev (conductor, Azerbaijan), Kristóf Baráti (violin, Hungary), Alexander Schimpf (piano, Germany) and Daniela Köhler (soprano, Germany). The evening opened with the ‘Viva, Olympus!’ overture by the Russian composer Andrei Petrov, specially composed for the festival. Artists also performed the works by Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Beethoven, and Strauss.

On May 21 the Grand Hotel Europe (St. Petersburg) hosted a press conference on the opening of the 17th International Musical Olympus Festival that will take place in the Northern Capital from May 22 to June 3.
