Young musicians, prize winners of prestigious international contests from Russia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, and USA will soon present international Musical Olympus Festival in Baku. Festival concerts will take place on 20, 21 and 22 September 2013 within the framework of the V Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Festival at the Grand Hall of the Magomayev Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall.

Brazilian conductor Tobias Volkmann received audience award of the XVIII international Musical Olympus Festival that took place in St Petersburg from May 21 to June 2. Apart from a silver Easter egg handmade by a famous jeweler Vladimir Mikhailov, Tobias Volkmann will also have a chance to take part at the presentation concerts of the Festival in Switzerland, Germany, and the USA.

Concert in State Capella closed the XVIII International Musical Olympus Festival in St Petersburg that took place from May 21 to June 2. For two weeks St Petersburg has become the center of world classical music and gathered young talented performers from 11 countries: Australia, Brazil, Korea, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Rumania, Ukraine, and Russia. The audience of the festival exceeded 4 thousand music lovers.

On June, 2 St Petersburg State Academic Capella hosted final seventh concert of the XVIII International Musical Olympus Festival. Russian pianist Varvara Nepomnyashchaya and Korean singer Anna Jihye Sohn (soprano) had the privilege to close the Festival. The soloists performed musical pieces from Chopin, Gounod, Verdi, Massenet to the accompaniment of the Tavricheskaya chapel international symphony orchestra under the baton of Mikhail Golikov.

On May, 31 the sixth concert of the XVIII International Musical Olymous Festival took place at the Hermitage Theatre. On that evening, young musicians from Switzerland (Elisa Netzer, harp; Nathalie Mittelbach, mezzosoprano) and France (Victor Julien-Laferriere, cello) performed classical music on the stage of the theatre. To the accompaniment of the State Hermitage Orchestra under the baton of Hungarian conductor Gergely Madaras they played musical pieces by Mendelssohn, Debussy, Schuman, Gluck, Bizet, and Hendel.

On May, 30 the fifth concert of the XVIII International Musical Olympus Festival took place at the Grand hall of the Shostakovich St Petersburg Academic Philharmonia. Elena Tokar (soprano, Ukraine) and Alexei Gorlatch (piano, Germany) performed at the concert to the accompaniment of the St Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra of St Petersburg Philarmonia conducted by Australian director Daniel Smith. Musicians performed works by Mozart, Hendel, Puccini, Beethoven.
