Yesterday, as part of the visit to Moscow, Maestro Daniel Barenboim visited the Music and Opera theatre Helikon-Opera. The artistic director and founder of the theatre, Dmitry Bertman, personally gave a tour around the historical building, which was renovated by the theatre, and presented unique exhibits that are housed in the museum of the theatre. The theatre troupe welcomed the legendary musician, performing in his honor an excerpt of the opera by Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka "Ivan Susanin".

We remind you that on May 26th, the only solo recital of Daniel Barenboim, organized by the Musical Olympus Foundation, will take place in the Great hall of the Moscow conservatory.

On the12 February 2021 at 14:00 Irina Nikitina participates as a key speaker in the public talk on the topic " What is happening in the music world? Is there a future for live concerts?". The event is organised in the framework of "St. Petersburg Book Lighthouse. Music of meanings" festival. During the discussion, the most critical issues about music will be discussed. Why does a modern person need "live" music? Artificial intelligence is already capable to create musical compositions and performs them, it improvises better than an average composer and musician. How does music affect the psyche of a modern person? What is happening now with the big concert agencies?

On the 24 September 2020 Irina Nikitina participated as a key speaker in the Matryoshka Dialogue public talk, organized by the Swiss Russian Forum Foundation. Together with the award-winning saxophonist Valentine Michaud they discussed how Corona has changed the cultural events' landscape, its effects on music, music performances. What challenges musicians all over the world are facing now, how they can be supported, in what ways and formats further development of this field is possible.

As we announced to you several weeks ago, unfortunately, our festival had to be postponed to the upcoming year 2021. Nevertheless, we would like to use the dates of the festival and entire June this year to present to you the artists of 2020 on our online platforms.

We encourage you to join us on a digital expedition and get acquainted with the artists via a series of online interviews, as well as musical greetings created especially for you from their homes located in: China, Colombia, France, Germany, USA, Korea, Bulgaria, Russia…

As you might imagine with concerts cancelled, especially young artists are facing a rough financial time.
