On the12 February 2021 at 14:00 Irina Nikitina participates as a key speaker in the public talk on the topic " What is happening in the music world? Is there a future for live concerts?". The event is organised in the framework of "St. Petersburg Book Lighthouse. Music of meanings" festival. During the discussion, the most critical issues about music will be discussed. Why does a modern person need "live" music? Artificial intelligence is already capable to create musical compositions and performs them, it improvises better than an average composer and musician. How does music affect the psyche of a modern person? What is happening now with the big concert agencies?

On the 24 September 2020 Irina Nikitina participated as a key speaker in the Matryoshka Dialogue public talk, organized by the Swiss Russian Forum Foundation. Together with the award-winning saxophonist Valentine Michaud they discussed how Corona has changed the cultural events' landscape, its effects on music, music performances. What challenges musicians all over the world are facing now, how they can be supported, in what ways and formats further development of this field is possible.

As we announced to you several weeks ago, unfortunately, our festival had to be postponed to the upcoming year 2021. Nevertheless, we would like to use the dates of the festival and entire June this year to present to you the artists of 2020 on our online platforms.

We encourage you to join us on a digital expedition and get acquainted with the artists via a series of online interviews, as well as musical greetings created especially for you from their homes located in: China, Colombia, France, Germany, USA, Korea, Bulgaria, Russia…

As you might imagine with concerts cancelled, especially young artists are facing a rough financial time. Night event, organised by the Musical Olympus Foundation as a part of Caspian Week 2020 programme, was held at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel (Davos) on January 23. Musical Olympus featured talented musicians — Yi-Ping Yang, percussioniste from France, and Kazakh baritone Azamat Zheltyrguzov.

50th Annual Meeting of The World Economic Forum (WEF) is held in Davos on 21 to 24 January 2020. This year the Forum brought together over 3,000 people from 117 countries, including 53 heads of state or government, the chairs and chief executive officers of the world’s most important companies, leaders from civil society, academia and the media.

On January 21, a roundtable "Importance of the cultural education for the international relations" took place, moderated by Irina Nikitina, the President of the Musical Olympus Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nutcracker competition. This session was held on the podium of the Caspian Week Forum (CWF), which this year was organized for the fourth time as part of the WEF. The main objective of CWF is to develop economic, cultural, educational and scientific ties. One of the topics of the session was the presentation of the International Television Contest for Young Musicians 'Nutcracker', an annual music competition, organised by TV channel 'Russia-Culture' (part of Russian national media company and public broadcaster 'Russia Television and Radio').

The presentation was attended by the winners of the XX International Television Contest for Young Musicians 'Nutcracker' - a pianist from Georgia Anahit Stelmashova and a saxophonist from Moscow Alexander Dolgov.

On January 23, the Hilton hotel will host a concert organized by the Musical Olympus Foundation. Yi-Ping Yang, percussioniste from France, and Kazakh baritone Azamat Zheltyrguzov will take part in the programme.
